About The Position

Responsible for reporting on production and accuracy activity, ensuring customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance with us customs and other governmental agencies in a timely manner. Develop, generate and analyze reports to Brokerage productivity, accuracy and services. Monitor and control operational activities ensuring consistent and uniform processes within Brokerage by writing procedures communicating with the customer and other FedEx workgroups. Generate various department reports to evaluate compliance and customer satisfaction. Collect and review errors and completes or arranges the necessary training for each team member based on the results of various data and feedback collected. Resolves routine and complex issues relating to Brokerage production and accuracy and provides training and guidance on new procedures, customers requirements and compliance. Update and regularly documents SOP changes to ensure compliance and quality. Act as liaison between customer service, the client and epc. Coordinate the development and implementation of new accounts and activity moving to epc by creating sop's and defining client procedures and expectations. Monitor progress to determine smooth and successful transition. Develop, review and maintain client sop. Ensure new and existing accounts have updated and accurate sop that is clearly developed to minimize service failures. Works directly with the customer, vendor, other FedEx workgroups. Document and create working sop for those customer and processes. Arrange and conducts team training on new procedures and sops supporting multiple work groups and locations. Identify areas requiring improvement and coordinate and implement process improvement procedures within the department to ensure efficiencies and productivity gains and customer satisfaction while expediting cargo release. Initiate and respond to managers, supervisors, advisors and leads on issues regarding epc services and partnering to meet customer requirements and ensure quality. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree/equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience in release and classification in air and ocean or related fields with a high level of performance.
  • Thorough knowledge of the harmonized tariff schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to train team members on FedEx system and customs and other government agency requirements.
  • Interpersonal skills for motivating and coaching team members.

  • This is a Hybrid role located in Indianapolis, IN and you must live within a 50 mile range.
  • Monday - Friday – 7:00am - 4:00pm EST
