About The Position

We are seeking an Associate to join our People Operations team. As the first point of contact for employee onboarding and offboarding, you will play a key role in supporting our employees throughout their journey at CHANEL. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee records in Workday, facilitating onboarding and offboarding activities, and liaising with payroll to ensure smooth transitions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, approachable, and eager to learn more about HR operations in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Reporting to the Head of People Operations and Transformation, this position offers the opportunity to work closely with the People & Organization team and business units, supporting day-to-day HR processes and enhancing the employee experience.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining employee records and handling confidential information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and supportive approach to employee interactions
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, ensuring timely completion of onboarding, offboarding, and data updates
  • Comfort with HR systems (Workday preferred), and willingness to learn new technologies and tools
  • Team-oriented mindset, eager to contribute to collective goals and assist colleagues as needed
  • Basic understanding of payroll processes and HR administration is a plus
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all HR activities
  • 1+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or administrative support preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems (such as Workday) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding onboarding and offboarding processes, providing guidance and support.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, assisting with documentation, system access, and orientation schedules to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Support offboarding by facilitating exit processes, collecting company assets, and ensuring timely completion of required steps.
  • Accurately enter and maintain employee data in Workday, ensuring records are up-to-date and errors are minimized.
  • Liaise with the payroll team to communicate changes, resolve data discrepancies, and ensure timely processing of all payroll-related information.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding HR processes, policies, and Workday navigation, escalating complex issues to senior team members as needed.
  • Assist with preparing reports and maintaining documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Contribute to process improvements by sharing feedback and ideas for making onboarding, offboarding, and data management more efficient.
