Position Description The Private Asset Management Associate will play a critical and central role in monitoring and analyzing the performance of US Special Situations Desk investments with respect to our Alternatives Business. The position focuses on evaluating investment performance, tracking key metrics, supporting periodic reviews, and delivering high-quality reporting to inform portfolio and business decision-making.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience; strong, relevant internship experience acceptable
  • Fixed Income technical skills and experience in a buy or sell side trade room preferred
  • Consumer asset class (unsecured consumer, credit card, student loan, auto, BNPL, solar) experience a plus
  • Compliance related experience and/or legal background a plus
  • Strong relationship skills and proven ability to build strong relationships with Portfolio Managers
  • Well-refined communications skills. Can articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Outstanding analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to operate efficiently in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and regularly update detailed performance trackers for private investments
  • Monitor investment performance versus forecast, budget, and prior-period results, identifying variances and flagging potential performance risks or opportunities
  • Prepare and distribute recurring performance reports and dashboards, highlighting trends, drivers of performance, and areas requiring follow-up
  • Support ongoing portfolio oversight by assisting with ad hoc performance analyses, scenario reviews, and management presentations
  • Coordinate with Trade Assistants and Trade Compliance to ensure smooth trade flow process
  • Assist Desk PMs in review of quarterly Origination and Asset Management reporting
