About the position
Boeing Global Services (BGS) Distribution Services is looking for an Associate Product Acceptance Specialist to join our team in Wichita, KS. The selected candidate will be required to work 100% onsite at the above-mentioned location.
Responsibilities
- Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
- Provides objective evidence of results
- Performs auditing, surveillance, and monitoring
- Identifies and documents discrepancies
- Segregates and controls non-conforming items
- Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
- Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders
- Daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc.
- Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team
- Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels
- Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects
- Reviews and disposes all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards
- Communicates with vendor as needed
- Disposes and controls non-conforming products
- Obtains and maintains Customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative Stamps for at least three customers (or as applicable by Site size)
Requirements
- 2+ years of related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator, and Smart scope
- Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures, including First Article Inspection
- Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
- This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam
- This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a 'U.S. Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.
