This role works closely with overseas factories, design, sales, and internal teams to ensure that products are produced according to specifications, delivered on time, and meet company quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with international vendors while managing multiple production timelines simultaneously.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in production, sourcing, or supply chain within footwear, apparel, or accessories
- Experience in footwear production strongly preferred
- Experience working with overseas factories and vendors
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage vendor relationships
- Ability to manage multiple production timelines and priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production tracking systems
Responsibilities
- Enter, maintain, and track purchase orders with overseas factories to ensure timely production and delivery.
- Support production planning and scheduling to align with delivery timelines and seasonal launch calendars.
- Monitor production progress and follow up with vendors to ensure orders remain on schedule.
- Communicate daily with international factories and vendors regarding production status, timelines, and requirements.
- Provide vendors with packing, labeling, and shipping instructions in accordance with company and retailer standards.
- Resolve production issues and escalate concerns when necessary to maintain timelines.
- Partner with Design and Sales teams throughout the development process to ensure product specifications and requirements are clearly communicated to vendors.
- Issue and maintain product specifications to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and track the production calendar, including pre-production samples, lab testing, approvals, and production milestones.
- Monitor sample submissions and ensure timely approvals to keep production schedules on track.
- Track shipments from pre-production through final delivery, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates.
- Maintain production records, order tracking reports, and vendor communications.
- Assist with production reporting and status updates for internal teams.
- Support the production team with additional operational tasks as needed.
