About The Position

We are looking for an Associate Production Operations Specialist to join the Technology team in San Francisco, supporting NBC Sports Bay Area and California. As an Associate Production Operations Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for mainly jib operation, stage managing, A2 but also as camera operator, audio operator, robotic camera operator, and server playback for live and taped television broadcasts. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in video production or live TV, preferably in an APC Production Environment
  • Experience with Ross Overdrive APC, Mira media playback, CalRec Assist or Jib Operations
  • Functional knowledge of newsroom computer systems, specifically iNews or Rundown Software equivalent
  • Must have strong oral/written communication skills, solid interpersonal skills, be able to work in a team, and be able to work accurately under pressure and deadlines.
  • Must be self-motivated to take on new tasks to help better our production.
  • Aptitude and desire to be cross trained in other studio operations positions.
  • Required onsite. This position is required to be performed full time onsite from an NBCUniversal designated work site.

  • Understand and maintain studio operations SOPs for operational training, and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Performs other control room and studio related duties as assigned.
