About The Position

Responsible for serving at properties where there is a vacancy as a result of illness, scheduling or termination and perform and/or assist in all of the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Property Manager Job Description.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in the management of residential or commercial facilities as Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Experience with the following affordable program, if applicable to the hiring property: Conventional/Market, Section 8 Family, Section 8 Elderly, Tax Credit, RAD, Home, and the IRS’s Safe Harbor guidelines.
  • Experience with PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Demonstrated supervisory potential.
  • Must have strong marketing and administrative skills and be flexible to work at many different properties.
  • High energy and an ability to work well with others is a must.
  • Able to work a varied schedule including weekends.
  • Must be able to travel overnight as needed.
  • Must be willing to travel for training and meetings.
  • Must have reliable transportation as travel throughout the portfolio will be necessary.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License in the state of residence.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate ability to read and comprehend the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process monthly EIV reports and save in secured document files.
  • Process special claims.
  • Assist with completing move-ins, move-outs, certifications, and renewals.
  • Assist with regularly conducting marketing surveys.
  • Implement positive resident relations program for the community.
  • Show, lease and complete application processing for potential residents.
  • Assist Property Manager in training and developing team members to achieve property benchmarks.
  • Inspect the property regularly and schedule improvements and repairs.
  • Complete and submit, timely and accurately, all records, reports and documents required by the Company and federal or state agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all HUD and Fair Housing regulations.
