About The Position

This position oversees patient flow from entry to destination and ensures timely, accurate, and professional service delivery. Responsibilities include: Accurate and timely resolution of patient accounts Collecting information to generate complete and accurate financial and demographic records Insurance verification, prior authorization, and coordination of benefits Communicating with payers and patients to confirm financial information Accurate patient registration and scheduling of recurring appointments Answering incoming calls and directing patients and visitors appropriately Participating in departmental operations and performance‑improvement activities Complying with infection control, equipment training, regulatory standards, and safety programs Ordering, distributing, and maintaining department supplies Meeting productivity, quality, and service standards to support departmental goals

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 0–3 years of customer service or medical office experience preferred
  • Minimum one year of medical office experience or a combination of customer service experience and education in insurance verification, patient registration, or medical terminology strongly preferred
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cerner or Epic is a plus
