Zions Bank has just opened an opportunity for an Associate Relationship Manager based in the Ogden, Utah office. If you are ready to move your career forward, read on. About an Associate Relationship Manager: This position begins with a strong focus on portfolio management, working collaboratively within a team of experienced Relationship Managers. In this early stage, the role provides support across multiple client portfolios, with significant emphasis on credit review, credit analysis, and the preparation of presentations and recommendations. As proficiency and experience grow, the position transitions into a more client-facing, business‑development–oriented role. Associates will gradually assume responsibility for select existing client relationships while building and expanding their own book of business.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of banking, relationship management, lending, underwriting and credit experience or other directly related experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or other related field
  • Knowledge of banking services, product offerings, lending, credit analysis, portfolio management.
  • Ability to grow loans, portfolios, client relationships, and cross sell bank products.
  • Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance.
  • Ability to interview applicants and be perceptive of character judgment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.

  • Successfully completed Zions’s Banker Development training-related activities (including but not limited to Credit Foundations and Business Line training).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a diverse portfolio of commercial loan relationships, ensuring sound credit practices and exceptional client service.
  • Conduct thorough credit investigations, analyze financial statements, assess industry and collateral risks.
  • Structure and price loans to meet client needs while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Generate new business through referrals and internal networks, conduct client interviews, and exercise sound judgment in credit decisions.
  • Cross sell a broad range of bank products, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the bank's growth through strategic portfolio reviews and relationship development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
