About The Position

The ASE primary function is to assist our Outside Sales Engineers (OSE) with sizing, selection, of all equipment CHC offers within our geographical territory. The ASE will also manage all phases of project timelines to ensure seamless execution. This allows our Outside Sales Engineers (OSEs) to dedicate at least 60% of their efforts to external, client-facing activities, maximizing their productivity and impact.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of industry experience and/or a HVAC/ Plumbing BS degree or higher.
  • A valid driver's license is required to operate a motor vehicle and must maintain a driving record acceptable to our liability carrier.
  • Technical sales experience.
  • Contractor industry experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM Financial Force or similar ERP.

Responsibilities

  • Update outside sales engineers and customers regarding changes in delivery schedules based on information provided by inside sales representatives, job site visits, and pricing data.
  • Must have the ability to interpret construction bid documents to generate equipment selections, budget pricing and/or formal quotations using Financial Force Advanced Quoting Salesforce.com on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to ensure accuracy on all assigned or unassigned opportunities as it relates to the specific territory.
  • Create submittal packages or follow-up on submittal requests.
  • Assist in response to submittal comments from contractors or design engineers.
  • Follow up on sales opportunities using Salesforce.com CRM.
  • Develop customer relationships and work with sales engineers on potential leads.
  • Develop relationships with customers using phone calls, professional activities, and services as provided by CHC.
  • Act as a liaison for OSEs in external communication via phone, email, video meetings, or other methods.
  • Provide customers with our standard application drawings based on their needs.
  • Assist existing customers by phone, email, and web meetings, including CHC staff.
  • Create Request for Service for equipment startup and warranty service cases.
  • Verbally notify inside sales representatives when there is a rush order via face-to-face or phone only.
  • Process customer orders and approved submittals, and write-up engineered BTO (Build to Order) products and process including order entry into the business system.
  • Adhere to the prevailing wage procedure.
  • Report on customer and business trends to the RSM.
  • Train new department members and customers on venting and draft systems.
  • Provide training for new outside and inside sales staff on technical product information.
  • Communicate sales activities at Regional Job Log Meetings.
  • Attend various sales meetings, webinars, and training sessions as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by CHC Management.
