About The Position

The Associate Sales Representative (ASR) helps grow the client product portfolio by building relationships, expanding existing business, and converting competitive products—all while following company sales guidelines. This role supports the assigned Area or Region with day-to-day sales activities and offers a strong pathway to a future Account Executive role. Through hands-on training, the ASR will learn how to confidently demonstrate products to healthcare providers in both operating room and administrative settings, while executing the sales process in a clear, professional, and ethical way that drives results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 0 - 2 years business exp
  • The ability to travel (50-75%) and/or relocate to an assigned geography as needed
  • Valid Driver’s License issued the United States

Responsibilities

  • Expand the sales of client products and to convert competitive products in a manner that complies with company policy and sales direction
  • Support to the aligned Area/Region for all sales-related activities, and upon successful completion of duties, will be eligible to compete for role as an Account Executive
  • The Representative will be trained to understand and demonstrate proper use of our products to healthcare providers in an operating room setting & administrative duty.
  • Execute the selling cycle in a manner that is concise, professional, ethical, and which leads the customer to action.
  • Understand and demonstrate proper preparation and surgical use of all Mentor products.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage customer product questions, and objections, in a way that is consistent with sales training methodology.
  • Conduct sales presentations by using current selling methods learned in sales training courses.
  • Troubleshoot and provide other technical assistance; handle customer requests, effectively manage hospital billing, create / close purchase orders.
  • Maintenance, tracking and effective deployment of equipment, and assets throughout assigned area ensuring product availability.
  • Ensure all promotional materials are maintained in a presentable manner.
  • Ensure client’s services and offering meet highest quality standards
  • Case Coverage, ability to assist surgeons through strategic platforms and products in an operating room
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and retention; and improving the customers’ insights into clients’ tangible and non-tangible value proposition and solutions.
  • Differentiate Mentor products versus competition by providing the customer unique insights.
  • Participate and support in the commercialization / implementation of client’s new products and solutions with customer
  • Support all administrative duties related to the role including consignment management, audits, inventory management, etc.
  • Comply with standards for safe behavior and demonstrate product, procedure, and clinical knowledge.
  • Conduct business in accordance with the Business Conduct Policy, HCC, and other J&J policies and procedures
