Associate Software Engineer, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Artificial Intelligence, Applications and Innovations team is currently seeking an Associate Software Engineer, Artificial Intelligence (AI) to work within a cross-functional team in Berkeley, MO, Huntington Beach, CA, or Fairfax, VA. This AI Software Engineer will develop next generation of engineering perception and prediction solutions for aerospace applications. Your work will increase the operational efficiency and safety of aircraft fleet operators by analyzing their aircraft, maintenance, training, and engineering design data. The AI Applications and Innovations organization develops advanced, nonstandard machine learning and data engineering solutions to improve aircraft operations. Software engineers design and implement novel algorithms for fleet optimization, predictive and advanced health management, and enhanced pilot training, while building robust data pipelines and tools to filter, organize, and extract insights from text, parametric system telemetry, imagery, and other operational data sources. Position Responsibilities: Apply the latest machine learning and artificial intelligence technology from across industries, academia, and government Build, train and productionize cutting-edge Machine Learning models Develop data engineering pipelines for large aerospace data sets Implement software development best practices to enable product deployment Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): 1+ years of experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python 1+ years of experience working in the field of Artificial Intelligence including Machine Learning Knowledge of machine learning model development and evaluation Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree Experience with software development best practices Strong technical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills Desire to collaborate and innovate in an Agile software development environment Travel: 10% (could be up to 20%) Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
