Associate Software Engineer

About the position

As an Associate Software Engineer based out of our New York City Headquarters, you will join a team that is composed of highly skilled and supportive individuals, with each engineer contributing uniquely to serve our U.S.-based car dealers and manufacturers. The development team oversees and takes ownership of the entire system development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned tasks, both in terms of timeliness and software quality.
• Develop new software, and enhance existing software, to high standards.
• Adhere to best practices that enhance user experience, usability, scalability, performance and security.
• Learn about various components owned by the team and how these components fit within the overall platform.
• Develop clear communication skills when interacting with all stakeholders including regular progress and updates to your manager, peers and leads.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of .Net, C#, and React.
• Basic knowledge of object-oriented design techniques.
• Introductory understanding of agile software development methodology.
• Thorough understanding of fundamental software engineering and computer science principles: object-oriented design, structured design, databases, algorithms, data structures, usability, refactoring, debugging.
