The school is organized into four academic divisions, each led by a Division Head, sharing resources and a central administration, all of which is under the direction of the President. Schools of the Sacred Heart is committed to an in-person teaching model and faculty must be prepared to adhere to and support our Health and Safety Plan. Convent Elementary & Stuart Hall for Boys are divisions within Schools of the Sacred Heart, San Francisco, serving girls and boys in grades K-8. We are seeking excellent candidates for the role of elementary Associate Teachers. The primary purpose of the Associate Teacher is to assist and support the Lead Teacher with classroom preparation, planning, instruction and student supervision. Associate Teachers are expected to develop their own teaching skills over time, while becoming an active member of the Sacred Heart community. The Associate Teacher Program is a two-three year program that familiarizes the Associate Teacher with theoretical and practical aspects of classroom teaching. Associate Teachers are assigned to a grade and section in kindergarten - fourth grade and are partnered with a Lead Teacher who guides his/her development as an educator. They have the option to reapply once their three-year term is complete, but are not guaranteed placement. Agreements are reassessed and renewed (if appropriate) yearly. Associate Teachers are expected to attend all faculty meetings and periodic pedagogical workshops given on campus.
