About The Position

Clyde & Co seeks a bright, motivated D&O/EPL/E&O insurance coverage attorney admitted to practice in New York with 3+ years of experience, other jurisdictions a plus. Excellent research and writing skills required. Coverage litigation experience and CGL/Umbrella coverage experience are also pluses. Our hiring team is based in New York, NY, though open to considering candidates admitted in New York and based elsewhere in the US.

Requirements

  • Superior legal research, writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature
  • Ability to handle time sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly

Nice To Haves

  • Coverage litigation experience
  • CGL/Umbrella coverage experience
  • Admitted in other jurisdictions

Responsibilities

  • Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinion and reservation of rights letters, and provide coverage recommendations for clients
  • Conduct rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda
  • Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, interrogatories, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents
  • Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties
  • Attend mediations, hearings, etc., as required
