About The Position

At Automotive Technology Experts (ATE), we understand the importance of providing fast and accurate vehicle diagnostic scanning and calibration services. We service hundreds of customers that rely on us to ensure that the repairs they have completed are safe and that the vehicle will operate as the manufacturer had intended. JOB PURPOSE: The ATE – Fleet Specialist is a hands-on, operations-focused role responsible for the physical preparation, loading, inventorying, and deployment readiness of ATE mobile service vans based out of the Farmers Branch, TX location. This position supports key fleet operations under the direction of the ATE Fleet Manager. The Fleet Specialist ensures consistency, accuracy, and readiness across the mobile fleet by serving as the on-site execution owner for van setup and tooling configuration.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory management, fleet support, warehouse operations, or automotive-related roles.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. and perform physical tasks (kneeling, bending, lifting, etc.) associated with loading and organizing vehicles.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, real-time inventory of all tooling, equipment, and supplies assigned to mobile service vans, including serial and location tracking.
  • Receive, stage, organize, and prepare tooling and equipment at the Farmers Branch facility for new van builds, redeployments, and technician onboarding.
  • Physically load, organize, and secure tooling, equipment, and supplies into mobile service vans in accordance with ATE standards and layouts.
  • Perform detailed van inventory audits to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to deployment to the field.
  • Support van upfitting activities by staging equipment, verifying installations, and documenting final configurations.
  • Complete final readiness checks on vans to ensure tooling, cleanliness, organization, and operational preparedness.
  • Work closely with the ATE Fleet Manager, Tooling , and other support groups to support fleet launches and refresh cycles.
  • Identify missing, damaged, or non-standard equipment and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
