Job Description: The Certified Athletic Trainer functions in three main roles: As a traditional athletic trainer, the employee is responsible for providing comprehensive athletic health services under the advice and consent of a licensed team physician and may be asked to function in this role at an educational institution, professional team, and/or at athletic events in our community. As an athletic trainer in an outpatient rehabilitation setting, the employee works in conjunction with the physical therapist to assist with patient care and the daily operations of a physical therapy clinic. As an athletic trainer in a physicians’ office, the employee facilitates effective clinical operations for advanced practice providers and/or physicians.
