As an Audiovisual Specialist, you are responsible for setting up and operating a wide range of A/V equipment, including projectors, screens, laptops and computers, playback and recording devices, audio systems, cameras, scan converters, control systems, touch panels, production switchers, Audience Response Systems, and video conferencing units. Support is provided across Cleveland Clinic’s main campus, throughout the health system, and at remote locations as needed. This role is rewarding because it allows you to directly support patient care, medical education, and organizational communication by ensuring critical meetings, presentations, and clinical collaborations run seamlessly. Working with a wide range of advanced audiovisual technology provides dynamic, hands-on experience and exposure to enterprise-level systems, helping you build valuable, transferable technical skills. A caregiver in this position works days on-site at Main Campus Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Requirements

  • Coursework in Communications or Electronic Engineering
  • Three years experience in an audio-visual media environment, including six months experience operating and repairing audiovisual equipment, Equivalent course work may substitute for experience requirement
  • Hands-on installation experience
  • Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of PowerPoint, and other presentation files and software
  • Experience with interactive equipment
  • Experience with Editing

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate all forms of A/V equipment.
  • Perform diagnostic and preventative maintenance using appropriate test equipment and perform minor repairs on audio-visual equipment.
  • Integrate various output formats of computers with different types of display media.
  • Work with PowerPoint and other presentation files and software.
  • Servesas backup support for studio and duplication needs in Media Production.
