2026, Auto Claims Intern
About The Position
This is a 10-week summer internship program running from June 1 to August 7, 2026. This role is for candidates currently pursuing a college or university degree with an accredited institution and consists of on-the-job learning, along with a final presentation, in addition to any department-specific projects and tasks. The Claims Intern will have the opportunity to support the Claims team across a broad swath of initiatives including general file maintenance, detailed analyses of various commercial auto claims, and ad-hoc projects. No prior knowledge of insurance is necessary. To complete your application, please include a cover letter (no more than 300 words).
Requirements
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Excel experience preferred.
- Customer service skills, curiosity, and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work on a collaborative team.
- Rising junior or senior at an accredited college or university.
- All majors welcome.
Responsibilities
- Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the Claims team.
- Assist with subrogation recoveries and bill back expenses within the Self Insured Retention to client.
- Assist with identifying files with an incurred of over $500K to track large loss reporting.
- Assist with identifying files over reporting threshold for Reinsurance.
- Ensure reports are properly labelled and stored in the file.
