About The Position
AutoCAD Drafter Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter with background in Civil or Public Utility Construction Design. This role focuses on the surveying, overlaying, analyzing, preparation, and submission of impact analysis packages to the NYCDDC About PRG Since 2001, PRG has been a leader in construction management and outside plant damage recovery for the telecommunications and utility industries. Requirements
- Associate degree in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1 years of AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably in civil or public utility construction related fields.
- Experience interpreting and drafting civil and or public utility construction prints.
- Previous work experience with design, construction, utility, or engineering firms.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access etc.).
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of GIS systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Initial review and virtual survey of upcoming municipal projects
- Gathering and examination of utility plates
- Calling for mark outs in the proposed work zones
- In person walk outs of areas within proposed work zone where utilities are present
- Preform post survey utility interference analysis
- Produce overlays and engineers estimates to be included in utility packages
- Manage project deadlines with NYCDDC
- Attend city preconstruction meetings
- Perform additional drafting and project-related tasks as assigned.
