About The Position

This position is responsible for safely and properly operating the Auto Palletizer and all equipment associated with the process. The person selected will be given two weeks of initial training. Followed by two weeks of on-hand operations of the auto palletizer and all equipment associated with the process. The position requires the team member to safely move, stack, rotate, stage, and load product. This position will maintain a safe and clean work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures. Pay $21.10/hr. & $1 incentive

Requirements

  • At least three (3) month experience with processing equipment used in food processing ( i.e.. grinders, knife sharpening tools OR 3 months of experience in the operation and maintenance of machines like slicers, etc.
  • Rehire information: Must have successfully completed 90 days since termination. 3x rehires are not eligible.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must have successfully completed the probationary period.
  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain Tyson certification to operate all equipment within the department (pallet jack and forklift). Training is provided by Tyson.
  • Must have excellent attendance record (5 points or less) and maintain less than 5 points
  • Excellent Safety record.
  • Must not have a written warning or higher disciplinary actions in the last 6 months.
  • Good Communication skills required; bilingual skills a plus.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • The ability to understand programs such as SAP and enter data into spreadsheets, Plantview, etc., using a computer, tablet or hand-held device.
  • Must be able to adequately operate the scanners used for data entry.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including different shifts, as required, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures, including the use of proper PPE.
  • Adequately operate all equipment associated with the palletizing room.
  • Proper and respectful interactions daily with everyone.
  • Obtain and maintain certification to safely operate all equipment used within the department (pallet jack, forklift, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean work environment of designated areas, inside and outside.
  • Be self-motivated, have initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to accurately manifest palletized product with the information on the label.
  • Ensure proper product rotation and product/packaging integrity are maintained.
  • Inspecting product/packaging it ensure integrity and customer requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with the lead or supervisor to properly stage, rotate, and load pallets as needed.
  • Be able to inventory all product in the -10 freezer and maintain the freezer in a clean and organized manner.
  • Reporting all activities to management throughout the day as needed or requested.
  • Maintain the overall product acceptance, ensuring compliance with USDA, SSOPs, GMPs, and HAACP.
  • Adequately perform all EIM/SAP functions utilized within the shipping and palletizing department.
  • This position requires that the Team Member perform all other tasks as assigned by the lead, supervisor or management.
