About The Position

Automated Saw Machinist SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE The Machinist performs layout, setup, operating, and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled, and computerized machine shop equipment primarily focused on saw cutting raw material to length for use in subsequent machining activities, producing quality products in a timely fashion. Responsibilities will also include receiving and issuing material to job travelers. Location: Middleburg Heights, OH (greater Cleveland area) Type: Full-time, Regular position Salary Range: $24-$26/hour Your Challenge: Manufactures and inspects detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions using a variety of saw cutting tools and equipment and using mathematical and geometrical calculations. Maintains material traceability and documentation. Works from blueprints and process sheets. Troubleshoots and diagnoses processes to eliminate variability and improve throughput. Must have the ability to take dimensional inspections and interpret the results against the provided blueprint. Responsible to verify the quality of their product and accuracy of all work. Working knowledge of shop and machine safety procedures. Must use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring tools. Must understand the basic application of various cutting tools. Flexible, self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well in a team environment. Must be willing/ able to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.

Requirements

2-3 years' experience in a similar role
High School/GED required
Must be able to lift, push, pull 50 lbs
Experience with stainless steels and high-temperature alloys

Nice To Haves

Technical/Trade School preferred
PC skills are a plus
Lift truck experience a plus.
Crane experience a plus.
