The automation engineer works as a part of an automation team to support and improve production in a fast-paced & dynamic manufacturing environment by: Creating Intuitive Human-Machine-Interfaces (HMIs), dashboards, applications, using Ignition software Designing, programming, and debugging Allen-Bradley PLC software Programming and debugging Fanuc Industrial robots Commissioning of automation & robotic cells Setting up and tuning various control systems which include servo motors, hydraulic presses, VFDs, etc. Manage and support automation projects that involve cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, sustaining and IT teams. Lead discussions and define requirements for vendors and develop relationships with them. Manage and lead the commissioning of new automated production cells. Lead a team of automation engineers and technicians to Create intuitive human-machine interfaces, dashboards, reports, and manufacturing execution applications using the Ignition software platform. Program and debug ladder logic, structure text and SFCt code on Allen-Bradley PLC. Program and debug Fanuc Robots. Set up and tune various actuations including VFDs, servo drives, hydraulic press, and pneumatics for smooth operations. Oversee the training and development of automation engineers and technicians. Support the training and development of maintenance/production staff, regarding automation.
