(“SEL”) seeks professional, innovative and detailed individuals for our Automation Engineer position located at our field office in Moscow, Idaho. Automation Engineer (Multiple Openings) Responsibilities: The Automation Engineer is required to develop and maintain a detailed understanding of industrial manufacturing and control system automation involved in printed circuit board manufacturing. The incumbent will be expected to apply the principles of electrical and mechanical engineering along with computer science and robotics to: 1) create, implement and improve automated solutions to production in a manufacturing environment; 2) offer production support and drive automation issues to root cause to prevent recurrence; 3) debug and update PLC (Programable Logic Controller) ladder logic with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable; 4) manage electrical cabinet builds; 5) create machine interactions with plant-wide Manufacturing Execution System (MES); 6) introduce automated processes into production, and train Maintenance and Production teams to support processes after deployment of equipment; and 7) create and review specifications and provide technical evaluations for automated equipment.
