Air Liquide manufactures a comprehensive line of membrane products for methane recovery from Biomass sources. Our product portfolio includes the most robust and efficient hollow fiber membranes in the industry.. Through our global network, Air Liquide offers the most reliable and cost effective gas recovery solutions. The Automation Engineering Intern will support the Project Team in the Air Liquide Newport Manufacturing site.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Electrical, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Rising Junior or Senior)
  • Strong time management skills
  • The candidate must have valid unrestricted employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as an intern or co-op in a technical engineering environment
  • Familiar with HMi / PLC systems
  • Familiar with Ignition HMI Software

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a safety role model; promote a high level of safety awareness; adhere to and support the continuous improvement of all safety practices and procedures.
  • Assist in conversion of HMI system to Ignition Software
  • Work on database for historical data retrieval
  • Participate in automation system validation
  • Assist with commissioning and validation of new equipment
