This position will be responsible for assisting production in troubleshooting downtime related issues in all assembly related processes. This position would support Process Engineering in optimizing productivity of existing programs. Ensure production processes are followed and reliable. Principal Activities Assist process engineering in isolating complex manufacturing issues whether it is in process, material, or machine functionality related. Aid Process Engineering to reduce cycle times, increase efficiency of automated equipment, and small project work. (Small Automation projects, PLC Projects). Assist in program start-ups involving processes, equipment, machinery, and tools (fixtures and jigs). Manage datasheets (approved by Process Engineering). Process changes must be validated prior to implementation. Responsible to work with support departments in scheduling and reporting of trials. Collect SPC data on key processes and work with Process Engineering on results. Assist with updating and maintaining equipment drawings and any other documentation needed. Keep a daily record of relevant tasks (checklists, data record logs, etc.). Verify operators work according to established work instructions and do not deviate from standard work, avoiding errors and alterations to the process. Verify the documentation at each workstation is complete, up-to-date, and used appropriately. In the event of anomalies or improvements, notify Engineer and Supervisor. Ensure the reliability of the process of machines corresponding to your process, stopping the line after the third defect, and the first defect for critical processes; notify the leader and/or maintenance coordinator as well as the Process Engineer for immediate resolution of the problem. Ten percent travel required.
