About The Position

Work alongside experienced automation engineers to learn and support the development of manufacturing automation and digital solutions Help maintain, improve, and troubleshoot existing automation systems under the guidance of senior engineers Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues on production automation equipment and connected factory systems Participate in the full lifecycle of automation projects to gain hands-on experience Assist with documenting automation systems, testing changes, and supporting system commissioning

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systems and the ability to read technical drawings and schematics
  • Willingness to learn new technologies in a hands-on manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Ignition, SCADA, or HMI development
  • Exposure to Cognex and/or Keyence vision systems
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages
  • Interest in data analysis, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 concepts
  • Experience with control systems design (AutoCAD preferred)
  • Knowledge of safety fundamentals (OSHA, NFPA, or machine safety concepts)
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to grow within an automation engineering career path
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance
