About The Position

This position is for an IAS/ATG/OPS/GVS Electronics Technician. Working alone or in small teams, this individual will perform testing and maintenance functions on Automatic Tank Gauging Systems, Independent Alarm Systems, Overfill Protection Systems, and Ground Verification Systems at Department of Defense installations across, but not limited to, the following states; Colorado, Montana, Utah, & Wyoming. The Electronics Technician ensures proper operation of fuels accounting, alarm monitoring and controls, and leak detection equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and install electronic components and electrical systems using hand tools and testing instruments, and keeps organized, detailed records of work performed. Responsible for coordinating travel to customer sites, maintaining on-hand components and assigned safety equipment, and supplying basic hand tools & testing equipment, as well as thorough communication with dispatchers, your manager, and installation teams to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly conveyed to the customer. Technician is required to compile and reconcile travel charging on a weekly basis. Individual may reside anywhere within the states listed above and will travel extensively, but not exclusively, throughout that region to perform preventive and corrective maintenance at sites such as Buckley SFB, Malmstrom AFB, Hill AFB, and F.E. Warren AFB.

Requirements

  • Ability to acquire and maintain U.S. government security clearance and/or Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Ability to acquire and maintain corporate credit card
  • Ability to travel 100%
  • Ability to forecast workload and manage level of effort within scheduled work week
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent and formal electronics training from technical school, Class A or B military school, or completion of four-year electronics apprenticeship program
  • Four years of practical experience to include: electronics repair, integration, fielding, and checkout
  • Ability to acquire all required certifications to maintain the equipment located within specified region at the time of hire or relocation, to include all manufacture trainings and state-required UST certifications
  • Proven proficiency with Windows OS and M365 applications
  • Ability to kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, work from heights of up to 50 feet, and operate safely within confined spaces

Nice To Haves

  • Four years of experience performing installation, removal, maintenance, and testing on Fuel Handling components- gauges, instrumentation, and sensors
  • Experience with Government fuel accounting systems (AFHE, FMD, FAS, BSM-E, ATG)
  • Experience with Automatic Tank Gauging Systems including one or more of the following: Veeder-Root, Ronan, Enraf, Barton, Pneumercator, Temposonics/MTS, ProGauge, and E&H
  • Experience with Independent Alarm Systems including one or more of the following: Scully, Magnetrol, E&H, Fafnir, Mercoid, Omnitrol, Pneumecator, TLC, Bindicator, Devar, Aggressive Systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Experience with Overfill Protection or Ground Verification Systems including one or more of the following: Scully, Varec, Fafnir, and Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Experience with data communications via copper wires, fiber optics, & wireless devices
  • CAC must be obtained within 30 days
  • Certifications and/or demonstrated proficiency of applicable equipment manufactures and UST licenses must be established within five months of hire
