As Axon's Automation Technician, you will be responsible for repairing equipment, supporting manufacturing lines, performing preventive maintenance, quality testing, data gathering, filling out non-conformance reports, and supporting the engineering team and QA department as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-6 years of experience in electronics automation manufacturing
  • Knowledge of electromechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions.
  • Ability to use DMM.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, repair, and maintain automation components and systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production test equipment and subsystems.
  • Provide feedback to Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Training, and Quality teams, regarding failure modes and frequency
  • Directly support the manufacturing line to meet daily and monthly goals.
  • Visually inspect, test, and assemble components or subassemblies using approved assembly procedures.
  • Use a computer to perform testing, download information or record test data.
  • Use hand tools, machine tools and various types of equipment to repair and test products.
  • Promote a continuous improvement environment by looking for more efficient ways to perform daily duties.
  • Communicate effectively and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Take initiative in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Solve problems or identify issues and assist in resolutions.
  • Make reasonable decisions and escalate accordingly.
  • Understand and comply with all ESD requirements.
  • Promotes a safe work environment by adhering to all safety requirements.
