About The Position

Warehouse Direct is currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and mechanically skilled Automobile / Machine Repair Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of automobiles, customer-owned machines, and rental equipment. The Technician will respond to service requests, support new installations, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting equipment, and providing excellent service to customers. Pay: $21–$25 per hour based on experience

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in equipment repair, mechanical service, or a related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; prior mechanical or technical experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to pull a trailer.
  • Must successfully pass a background screening, motor vehicle check, and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Strong logic and reasoning skills to evaluate repair options and solve technical problems.
  • Mathematical ability to perform basic calculations related to equipment repair and service.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to professional interactions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple tasks and service requests.
  • Analytical and research skills to review information and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Install and service equipment for both new and existing customer accounts.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on automobiles, machines, and rental equipment.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency service requests.
  • Accurately log equipment serviced, parts used, and time spent on-site each day.
  • Maintain consistent communication with Customer Service and Dispatch regarding delays, service updates, or potential issues.
  • Communicate with Dispatch regarding purchase orders for required parts and equipment.
  • Maintain, receive, organize, clean, and refurbish equipment and parts in both the service area and service vehicle.
  • Keep an accurate inventory of supplies, machines, and parts, including items stored in the service vehicle.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
