Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers warmly and professionally, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
  • Listen carefully to customer needs and provide clear, accurate information.
  • Process payments efficiently, including cash, credit cards, and checks, while maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
  • Calculate and process bills with precision to ensure a smooth checkout experience.
  • Reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift to maintain accountability.
  • Answer customer questions regarding billing, payments, and services with patience and clarity.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers scheduling service appointments, whether by phone, email, or in person.
  • Provide detailed information about available services, including maintenance packages and recommended repairs.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently, balancing customer needs with shop availability to maintain smooth operations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding appointment confirmations, reminders, and any updates or changes.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to independently problem solve.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in cashier or customer service roles is a plus but not required.
  • A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and motivation to grow within the automotive industry.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort handling transactions, scheduling, and data entry.
