About The Position

The General Sales Manager is responsible for leading and maximizing the performance, profitability, and guest experience of our Sales Department. This role oversees daily operations, drives sales strategies, and ensures the dealership meets and exceeds sales targets. The ideal candidate is a high-performing leader with a strong background in automotive sales management and a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of franchise automotive Sales Manager experience in a high-volume Hyundai dealership, or prior GSM experience
  • Must be local — we only consider candidates who live within a reasonable commute to Santa Monica
  • Prior experience in the Los Angeles automotive market and with Hyundai
  • High-energy, results-driven attitude with strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Proficiency in F&I processes and CDK software
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • You must have or acquire a valid California Vehicle Salesperson License
  • 18 years or older required
  • All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing including a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase department performance
  • Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of Sales Managers and Sales Consultants
  • Lead daily sales operations, including desking deals and monitoring KPIs
  • Collaborate with the F&I team to ensure a smooth, profitable, and guest-focused process
  • Maintain exceptional levels of customer satisfaction and guest retention
  • Resolve guest concerns quickly and appropriately
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies and OEM guidelines
