Job Responsibilities: JOB SUMMARY: The Assembly Process Technician helps support the assembly machines in an Automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures machines run safely, parts meet basic quality standards, and tools and materials are prepared correctly. The technician learns how to start up equipment, perform simple adjustments, and support the production team with day-to-day tasks.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Mechanical or electrical aptitude is an asset.
  • Technical training or participation in a mechanical program is an asset but not required.
  • Must be able to change all printer ribbons and labels
  • Ability to change out glue barrels and to change glue system from one dispense system to the other
  • Ability to home all robots in assigned cells and adjust robotic glue paths
  • Knowledge of vibration weld fixture changeovers and how to change or adjust sonic welder settings
  • Knowledge of lamp assemblies on check fixtures
  • Must have full knowledge of all model and hand changeovers on all lines
  • Full understanding of all part presence sensors on all assigned lines
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting screw feeder systems
  • Knowledge of shot pin positioning and recovery methods
  • Must know how to align light curtains where applicable
  • Strong mechanical skills

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Assembly machines and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor machine parameters and check for proper cycle times.
  • Keep tools, machines and work areas clean and organized.
  • Perform basic maintenance such as cleaning machines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members during shift changes.
  • Review and sign Quality Alerts and shift communications.
  • Follow safety rules and support housekeeping standards.
  • Support production activities including delegating and packing parts.
  • Perform any other reasonable request made by management.
