As a Service Dispatcher, you will be responsible for maintaining an efficient workflow in the shop. You will dispatch work to the appropriate technicians based on skill level while ensuring promise times are met. You must master time management, multitasking, and adjusting jobs on the fly.

Requirements

Proven experience as an automotive technician, ideally with a luxury vehicle brand (Volvo experience is a plus)
Strong understanding of diagnostic processes, repair procedures, and shop operations
Natural leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and support developing technicians
Exceptional organizational abilities and a calm, solutions-focused mindset
A commitment to delivering a premium service experience
Prior Automotive Dealership experience/knowledge is a must.
Attention to detail with excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Must be authorized to work in the USA
Able to pass pre-employment background checks, MVR, and drug screen
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

Coordinate and assign repair orders to technicians based on skill level, workload, and shop capacity
Ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of all service tasks
Serve as a technical resource for the team, offering guidance and hands-on support when needed
Mentor and develop entry-level and apprentice technicians, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
Maintain clear communication between service advisors, technicians, and management
Uphold Volvo’s commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
