About The Position
INFINITI Stuart, a proud member of the Murgado Automotive Group, is seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Used Car Buyer to join our exceptional team. If you have a keen eye for quality, a passion for the automotive industry, and a talent for negotiating, we want you on our team! Position Overview: As the Automotive Used Car Buyer, you will be responsible for acquiring pre-owned vehicles for our dealership. Your role will involve evaluating trade-ins, attending auctions, and building relationships with wholesalers and private sellers to ensure our inventory meets our high standards and customer expectations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive purchasing or used car buying.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle appraisal techniques and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in using automotive software and tools for vehicle sourcing and appraisal.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and appraise trade-in vehicles accurately and efficiently.
- Attend auctions and source pre-owned vehicles that meet our quality and inventory needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with wholesalers, private sellers, and other sources of used vehicles.
- Negotiate purchase prices to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
- Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
- Ensure all acquired vehicles meet our quality standards and reconditioning requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle purchases and transactions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand inventory needs and preferences.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
