About The Position

COMPANY OVERVIEW: MOBIS Technical Center of North America is the Research & Development Center for Hyundai MOBIS, a Tier 1 supplier and an affiliate under Hyundai Motor Group. MOBIS produces and supplies a wide variety of automotive components to customers including component modules (chassis, cockpit and front-end module), core system, eco-friendly and DAS-mechatronics. Mobis delivers the design and development of advanced engineering, autonomous driving, infotainment, component modules, safety, brake and steering systems, lamp, ICS/electronics and software development solutions that consider the safety and convenience of our customers as well as the future.

Requirements

  • Experience applying digital filters to real-time signals for sensor processing/fusion and/or control systems
  • Minimum of 4 years of software development experience with Python, C++, Matlab or similar languages.
  • Strong hands-on skills on Software development and debugging.
  • Familiarity with version control (such as git).
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant, professional experience required.
  • Required BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or related field with supporting S/W development history.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience applying Kalman Filters (KF/EKF/UKF) and other probabilistic filters to real-world, real-time sensor data processing applications.
  • Experience with code generation in real-time prototyping platforms.
  • Experience in the ADAS/ADS space.
  • Experience developing a product from concept to POC to viable product.
  • Experience with Vision Processing is a plus.
  • Experience with neural networks and/or machine learning is a plus.
  • Preferred MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in all stages from requirement analysis to software implementation activities for automotive advanced driving assistance features.
  • Participate in requirement analysis, S/W design review, S/W implementation and design test case scenarios, following Mobis internal V-model.
  • Participate in vehicle build and testing.
  • Creation of software requirements, design documents, and system test plans.
  • Define test cases and conduct engineering level testing.
  • Work collaboratively with internal engineering team.
  • Support AV mass-production activities, including AV driving system tuning, validation workflows, and in-vehicle testing as part of ongoing development.
  • Be a team player.
  • Have great attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be reliable (with reliable mode of transportation.)
