The Role The AV & Event Technology Specialist plays a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality audiovisual and event experiences across the organization. This is a highly cross-functional role that partners closely with Technology, Facilities, Creative Services, Screening Room Ops, and the Service Desk to support day-to-day AV operations, hybrid meetings, live events, IPTV, and digital signage services. The specialist is responsible for maintaining room technologies, executing live events, and resolving incidents with precision and professionalism. Strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility environments are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in AV operations, event support, or similar technical roles.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Cisco RoomOS and collaboration endpoints (configuration, troubleshooting, and environment support).
  • Experience supporting a Microsoft Teams environment
  • Hands-on experience with AV systems including displays, switchers, DSPs, microphones, control processors, and conferencing hardware.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in live-event and meeting environments under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Familiarity with IPTV and digital signage platforms, including content deployment and playback monitoring.
  • Experience working with ticketing platforms such as Service Now, Jira, and Zendesk
  • Ability to lift and install equipment, run cables, and perform physical room setups.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site a minimum of four (4) full days per week in a corporate office environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support events outside standard business hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AV management platforms (Crestron XiO Cloud, Q-SYS Reflect, Zoom or Teams admin tools, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Crestron, Q-SYS, or Extron systems, including basic programming or configuration.
  • Prior work supporting digital signage ecosystems (Appspace, BrightSign, or similar).
  • Experience managing IPTV systems or broadcast/A/V-over-IP platforms.
  • Basic networking knowledge related to AV systems (VLANs, QoS, multicast).
  • CTS or other AV/IT certifications (CTS, Crestron, QSC, Extron, Cisco).
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments or supporting executive-level events.
  • Strong experience with PC and Mac platforms

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operational support for all AV systems, ensuring conference rooms, screening spaces, and event areas are fully functional.
  • Set up, operate, and strike AV equipment for live events, including meetings, town halls, screenings, and special productions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AV incidents promptly, escalating issues when necessary to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk to develop ticketing workflows,standards, escalation paths, and resolution protocols that improve response times and service consistency.
  • Configure and support Cisco RoomOS devices, including endpoint setup, firmware updates, troubleshooting, and integration with collaboration platforms.
  • Manage IPTV and digital signage systems, including content scheduling, playback verification, system monitoring, and vendor coordination for outages or updates.
  • Provide on-site support for high-profile events, working closely with Facilities, IT, Creative Services, and Production teams.
  • Conduct routine system checks, firmware updates, and preventative maintenance on AV equipment.
  • Support remote participants and hybrid events through platforms such as Zoom, Teams, or Webex.
  • Document processes, update room guides, and contribute to AV knowledge base articles for internal use.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners for repairs, rentals, or supplemental staffing.
