About The Position

AV Engineer Position Description : There will be many opportunities to demonstrate soft and technical skills while providing personal support to the highest-ranking executives. A Conferencing Engineer must be able to handle “under the gun” troubleshooting and issue mitigation while executive customers wait and watch. Competencies: Possess an appreciation of the dynamics and pressures of live production; identify potential challenges and be capable of quick thinking and calm problem solving; be driven to produce events of the highest quality. Show flexibility as a team player by collaborating with peers on events in technical lead and support roles. Ability to stay engaged with and prioritize overlapping projects while adhering to deadlines. Experience with different conferencing platforms such as MS Teams, Webex, Zoom, etc. Understanding of video signal types, resolutions, compression, routing, and distribution. Awareness of audio signal types, processing, noise reduction, echo cancellation, and distribution. Experience with studio preparation, production, editing, media management, and delivery. Experience and understanding of collaboration technology and standards, audio, video, and relevant system hardware and software (Cisco, Crestron, AMX, QSC, BIAMP, Dante, NDI). Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working and communicating with senior level management. Highly motivated and self-empowered to resolve customer issues, always applying sound, fact-based decision-making. Other Information: This is a full time Ford position. Position requires the ability to work a flexible, Onsite work schedule, and may include occasional travel.

Nice To Haves

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Communications, or relevant experience.
  • Technical certifications of benefit: CTS® (Certified Technology Specialist), CTS-D® (Design), or CTS-I® (Installation).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technology and support for executive-level communications and major offsite events including Global Town Halls, Board of Directors, and ERG (Employee Resource Group) initiatives.
  • Connect with customers to discuss event production and support requirements.
  • Recommend technical solutions and coordinate appropriate technology and support, based around Ford solutions and best practices.
  • Coordinate the setup and operation of audio/video communication and collaboration solutions for corporate events.
  • Configure and support interactive conference spaces, which include collaborative tools such as: Webex Video Systems, Crestron, Miro, multi-share technologies, and interface for message capturing and webcasting.
  • Perform audio/visual control room functions that support long-term and evolving customer requirements.
  • Install and maintain conferencing and collaboration equipment in corporate officer conference rooms; provide in-office training of conferencing technologies for corporate officers.
  • Collaborate with external vendors in the evaluation and recommendation of new conferencing, collaboration, and audio and video solutions.
  • Stay engaged with digital media production trends to progressively improve workflows and customer experiences.
  • Work with IT partners to integrate and maintain messaging and webcast studio production, and post-production systems.
