About The Position

Woolpert is hiring an Architect with aviation architecture experience to join our dynamic Aviation Team at our Coral Gables, FL office. This position reports to the Architectural Team Leader and is responsible for working on multiple airport-related projects, preparing drawings for permitting and bidding.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design of airport, transportation or other large scale commercial projects
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture; master’s degree a plus
• Florida Architectural License or NCARB certification required; LEED accreditation preferred
• Proficient in Revit with advanced-level competency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to apply architectural principles to buildings/structures and their components or assemblies.
• Ability to handle designing and drafting assignments including site plans, floor plans, elevations, and sections required
• Self-motivated to meet deadlines and improve process and deliverables
• Excellent communication skills required
• Ability to write reports and specifications required

Nice To Haves

• master’s degree a plus
• LEED accreditation preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform architectural design and planning assignments under general supervision
• Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations
• Create and modify architectural project designs and drawings; design review and project scheduling
• Prepare graphics, presentations, contract drawings, and regulatory submissions
• Organize and maintain project record information and drawings
• Coordinate with clients, project consultants, and engineers
