About The Position

The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Integrated Project Planning and Program Management, will serve as a strategic leader within the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) organization. This newly created role is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive, technology-wide integrated project plan that aligns multiple initiatives, exposes delivery risks early, and ensures senior leaders have clear visibility into timing, dependencies and potential roadblocks. The AVP will partner with Senior Vice Presidents, program leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to establish a centralized integrated planning framework and identify the right toolset for managing the integrated plan. As the planning capability matures, this role is expected to expand to include direct reports and leadership of an integrated planning team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, release management, or Agile delivery leadership within a large enterprise, preferably financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Build, own and continuously maintain a master integrated project plan that spans major deliverables across programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with program managers and workstream owners to ensure individual plans roll up cleanly into the integrated view.
  • Identify timing collisions, overlapping deliverables, critical-path risks and resource constraints before they impact delivery.
  • Establish a governance process for updating, reviewing and communicating the integrated plan.
  • Provide clear, concise, executive-ready updates, dashboards and timeline summaries for SVPs and executive level leaders.
  • Facilitate dependency review sessions and milestones alignment meetings.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders to ensure planning processes are adopted consistently.
  • Oversee program and portfolio level budget management, including forecasting, tracking spend, ensuring financial alignment to strategic priorities, and optimizing resource allocation across initiatives.
  • Escalates unresolved cross-program issues to the established executive forum for prioritization, funding alignment or timeline decisions.
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement the tool that will serve as the system of record for integrated planning.
  • Develop scalable templates, workflows, and standards for ongoing plan maintenance.
  • As the integrated planning function grows, hire, coach and mange a team responsible for ongoing integrated plan.
  • Define best practices, performance metrics and continuous improvement processes for the team.
  • Assists with additional projects or initiatives as assigned, providing planning or coordination support to unsure organization priorities are met.
