If you're ready to take the next step, discover what’s possible with LPL Financial. Job Overview: The AVP, Program Manager is responsible for providing program management support to project teams. This role supports the following EPMO service offerings: Demand & Delivery Management Quality Management Reporting Financial Management Benefits Management Governance of processes, standards, etc. The AVP, Program Manager works closely with project and scrum teams and reports directly to the Technology Portfolio Management Lead.

Requirements

  • 4 year college degree, preferably in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience managing large IT programs with multi-million dollar budgets up to $5M
  • 5+ years experience managing Project and Software Development Life Cycle(s) using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • 5+ years experience monitoring and managing vendor performance
  • 5+ years experience managing requirement solution workshops
  • Comfortable exercising judgment and using analytical skills in ambiguous situations
  • Outstanding attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture
  • Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate effectively with both technical and business users
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment; proactive in seeking out information when necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project or similar tools
  • Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence or similar tools

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Project, Scrum, Technology, Business and Vendors to align delivery to OKRs to the program and portfolio
  • Manage the program budget & coordinate with finance to assure funds are available, accounted and properly reported, including Planview timesheet management / governance
  • Manage Demand Intake for the Program in LPL PDLC (Demand and Delivery Framework), ensuring demand aligns to available budget, handle new Intake requests ensuring availability of funding, or prepare required documentation for additional funding asks
  • Arbitrate and resolve conflict within the program when necessary. Understand appropriate paths and methods for escalation
  • Provide leadership to project managers/scrum masters, create a positive team environment, and provide direction in ambiguous situations
  • Be proactive and exercise initiative in identifying, tracking, and removing impediments to program success. Understand how individual projects affect the program & portfolio and exercise judgement in raising issues and risks to the program/portfolio level
  • Provide weekly program status, bi-weekly program health reports and participate in monthly portfolio reviews
