About The Position

The AWS Solution Architect position is located in Minneapolis, MN. The role requires a strong understanding of cloud-native architecture principles and experience in architecting complex AWS public cloud platform solutions. The candidate will be responsible for taking an app team from initial kickoff through all stages of cloud migration, achieving targets for the number of applications moved to the cloud, and managing the work schedule accurately.

Requirements

• Experience working in AWS Solution Architecture.
• Passion for continuous improvement and advancing technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture principles.
• Strong client management and communication skills.
• In-depth experience architecting complex AWS public cloud platform solutions (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS).
• Experience with containerization and PaaS approaches and tools (e.g., Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker Enterprise, AWS Stack).
• Hands-on experience as an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect.
• Hands-on experience in Jira/Confluence.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and visualize solutions for emerging concepts.
• Experience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure deployments in enterprise-wide environments.

Responsibilities

• Take an app team from initial kickoff through all stages of cloud migration.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for the number of applications moved to the cloud.
• Drive multiple applications simultaneously through various stages of application cloud migration.
• Develop a robust plan derived from standard steps in Cloud migration factory and execute on the same.
• Manage timely delivery and maintain an accurate work schedule on a daily basis.
• Conduct kickoff meetings for application teams at the beginning of application migration.
• Communicate with all stakeholders effectively.
• Organize kickoffs for migrations of applications from on-prem to cloud.
• Follow standardized steps for migration factory.
• Work under pressure and effectively with team members.
