About The Position

Responsible for providing a safe and comfortable environment for all employees by maintaining the buildings and grounds in a state of good repair and assisting the Building & Grounds staff with seasonal and special work projects as required.

Requirements

• Must have good eye/hand coordination.
• Must have basic mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, reach, and stretch to perform manual labor duties and to repair equipment.
• Must be able to climb a ladder.
• Must be able to work outside during adverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
• Must have general computer skills.
• Must be able to read to decipher information on Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Participate in OSHA training as scheduled.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with power tools.
• Effectively interface with external contacts, Brotherhood employees, managers, and department staff members.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to operate power equipment.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in morning routines like but not limited to clean glass on entry doors and clean patios.
• Assist in providing exterior maintenance of lawn, shrubs, and plants as needed.
• Assist with routine maintenance duties on all outdoor lawn equipment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks on building’s interior equipment.
• Assist with trash removal activities as required.
• Assist with building repairs including caulking, sealing, painting and washing of interior windows.
• Assist in the sending and receiving of general merchandise and supplies.
• Assist in daily set-ups of training and conference rooms.
• Helping to ensure that repair orders and projects are completed by the completion date on the work order and recording all time in Maintain X.
• Assist in performing other duties as required ensuring the optimum efficiency and operation of the department.
• Assist with the installation and repair of the outdoor sprinkling system.
• Assist in maintaining the pond/fountain pumps to provide adequate water flow for all displays.
• Ensure that maintenance checks on the lawnmowers have been performed satisfactorily.
• Complete other projects as assigned.
