Opportunity Overview We have an immediate opening for a Back Office Medical Assistant to join our team at Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area in Menlo Park, California.  Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Weekend and holiday rotation at our Menlo Park office Compensation: $26 to $32 per hour (commensurate with experience) This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of an accredited program for medical assistants with certificate
  • 1 year medical office experience in a healthcare setting, Ob-Gyn preferred
  • CPR certification must be current
  • Excellent internal and external customer service
  • Ability to work with diverse patient population
  • Ability to travel between local offices
  • Able to work rotation of weekends and holidays as scheduled
  • Team player
  • Experience with computerized scheduling and electronic medical records
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine patient data collection including height, weight, vital signs, waist circumference, determination of BMI, and current medication list
  • Room patients, including endocrine/ultrasound patients to facilitate patient flow
  • Ensure examine rooms are ready to receive patients at the start of the day by turning on ultrasound, preparing exam table, and turning on all necessary equipment at the start of the day.
  • Assist with performing Phlebotomy on patients as needed
  • Input names on ultrasound for general and obstetric patients once patient is in the room.
  • Prepare paperwork for HSG, pre-operative visits, New Patient Visits (NPV), etc. as needed
  • Set up and gather equipment and supplies for various procedures to include but not limited to general ultrasound, saline sonogram, uterine sounding, IUI, etc.
  • Wash, pack, and autoclave instruments; High level disinfection for ultrasound probes according to the infection control policies and manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Ensure end of the day tasks are complete including cleaning of exam rooms, restocking supplies/equipment, and turning off all necessary equipment
  • Document patient care by charting accurately, completely, and in a timely manner in EMR
  • Assisting providers with procedures, and other duties as needed
