Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking an Quality Engineer Inter for Summer 2026. In this role, you will perform data analysis of defect occurrences, work with other functions to determine the root cause of the issue, and present mitigations and corrective actions. Selected candidate will support the Stratford CT site Backshops product center teams. Typical responsibilities may include participation in continuous improvement events such as value stream mapping, 3P, Kaizen, and other Quality Engineering support as assigned. The candidate will assist with auditing / compliance activities, participate in preparation of the Corrective Action Board, and assist with inputs to leadership meetings as required. Will work with cross-functional peers to drive actions to closure. The successful candidate is driven to succeed and will take initiative to drive tasks to closure.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an Quality, Industrial, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective action development, and project management of action plans
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Excel and Word
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Quality or Supply Chain processes or Engineering or Program/Project Management degree in process, will help the candidate be successful.
  • Knowledge of Data analytics (preferably Tableau)
  • Industrial, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering Quality or Supply Chain
  • Knowledge of Solidworks.
