About The Position

We’re currently looking for a Backup Babysitter in Jenison, MI (49428) A warm and welcoming family in Jenison, MI (near 36th St and Bauer) are looking for a reliable, engaging caregiver for their happy, active baby girl. Backup care is needed during the work week, with the greatest need when grandparents travel. The family is hoping to build a long-term relationship with a flexible caregiver they can rely on. Schedule: Monday–Friday (as needed) Family is open and flexible with days and times caregiver is available Care is only needed when grandparents are unavailable There are no guaranteed hours Times: As early as 8:00am and as late as 5:00pm Visits range from 3–8 hours Realistically 1–4 days per week (up to 5 if needed) Notice: The family can provide a minimum of 3 weeks’ notice when care is needed. On occasion 48-24 hours notice, if primary caregivers are sick (grandparents) Start Date: ASAP – when the right fit is found Length of Position: Ongoing, long-term backup care Rate: $25 per hour 1 child: Infant daughter (born June 2025) Additional Information: Baby is happy, active, curious, and easy to entertain Family is warm, welcoming, easygoing, and values building a long-term relationship Clean, family-friendly, new construction home Parents work from home and will be present in the home during care hours.

Requirements

Legally authorized to work in the United States
Minimum 2 years of experience with infants
CPR certified or willing to obtain certification
Able to pass background and social media check
Able to provide 2 references from paid childcare experience
Comfortable around family cat - One friendly cat in the home (no pet care required)
