About The Position

SUMMARY:The primary purpose of this position is to service Members and Guests at the bag drop. A welcoming smile with the appropriate greeting is essential to providing a warm welcome to Pinehurst Country Club. Securing clubs on a cart and assistance with directions if needed and “have a great day/round” contribute to an enjoyable experience while on property. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or (GED) required and a minimum of one year related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Retrieve and load golf bags on carts for play. Clean clubs and have ready at the bag drop for pick-up at the time of departure. Complete assigned cleaning duties. Assist Golf Professionals with staging for Member outings. Be knowledgeable of the local area and assist with directions. Transport bags to and from Club Storage and special event staging area. Inspect and maintain a clean and organized work area. Wash golf carts if needed. Detail and perform routine maintenance on golf carts. Cross train in other areas when requested by supervisor. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Have the ability to write simple correspondence. Have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires being on your feet for the majority of your shift and the ability to move quickly, jogging to retrieve vehicles in a quick and safe manner. Must be able to open doors, drive automatic and manual vehicles and be able to safely operate a variety of vehicles. WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. In this position, the work environment requires being in the outside weather during all seasons. There is a change of temperatures from extremely warm to very cold. The noise level is moderate.

Requirements
