About The Position

The Bag Staff member plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience across the three premier golf courses at The Highlands at Harbor Springs — the Arthur Hills Golf Course, Donald Ross Memorial Golf Course, and The Moor Course. As a front-line representative of the resort, Bag Staff provide friendly, professional service to guests throughout their visit, from arrival to the completion of their round. This role supports daily golf operations by assisting with equipment handling, maintaining golf carts and practice facilities, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for all guests. Requirements

Minimum 16 years of age
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with strong work ethic
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, outgoing, and professional manner, creating a welcoming first impression.
Assist guests with loading and unloading golf bags from vehicles and golf carts.
Provide guests with course information, yardages, local rules, and general facility guidance.
Clean guests’ golf clubs at the conclusion of their round.
Maintain the cart barn and staging areas, ensuring golf carts are clean, fueled or charged, and properly prepared for daily operations.
Set up, maintain, restock, and clean the golf practice range.
Operate the range picker and clean golf balls to maintain an adequate supply of range balls.
Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of bag drop areas, cart staging areas, practice facilities, and surrounding grounds.
Support overall golf operations by assisting team members and supervisors as needed.
