About The Position

Love the smell of fresh bread and the satisfaction of a beautifully frosted cupcake? Join the bakery team at Bavarian Inn Restaurant, where everything is made from scratch—from flaky strudels and butterhorns to frosted cookies and traditional tortes. This is a dual-role position where you’ll rotate between baking classic desserts and decorating cupcakes, cakes, and cookies with buttercream. No fondant—just traditional piping, writing, and floral techniques done by hand.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a commercial or high-volume bakery
  • Skilled in both baking and frosting techniques
  • Comfortable with piping, decorative writing, and floral work
  • Strong math skills for scaling and recipe conversions
  • Able to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a hot environment with ovens
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Must pass a basic math and measurement/conversion quiz

Responsibilities

  • Bake pies, strudels, bars, and pastries using from-scratch recipes
  • Decorate cookies, cupcakes, and cakes with piping, borders, flowers, and lettering
  • Follow recipes with precision and scale based on production needs
  • Use bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proof boxes, and pie presses
