  • Retail bakery merchandising and customer service practices
  • Basic recordkeeping and inventory tracking
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, recipes, and procedures
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily bakery department operations, including production planning, merchandising, and staffing
  • Supervise, train, coach, and schedule bakery associates to ensure consistent performance
  • Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers, answering product questions, and fulfilling special orders
  • Plan daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demand and sales goals
  • Ensure quality, freshness, and presentation standards are consistently met
  • Maintain inventory levels; order ingredients and supplies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked bakery environment
  • Monitor department performance and suggest improvements to inventory, pricing, and processes
